Built 1813, 3-story brick residence of first abolitionist US Senator, JP Hale

Upstairs Hale family residence recreated, downstairs museum includes items from Dover-area history including: Hale family items. political ephemera, samples of Cocheco textiles, old toys and antique dolls, furniture, fire and maritime exhibits, Ben Franklin & Josiah Bartlett items, domestic and political exhibits.
Tools, cotton mill, fire fighting equipment, ship models, navigation intruments and other items relating to Dover and NH history, housed in Senator John P. Hale House. Antique furniture and oil paintings.
