Collection Description:
The collection includes autographs and correspondence from more than 300 New Hampshire men and women collected by Arthur Chase, state librarian of NH from 1895-1923. There are also undated forms completed and returned to Otis Hammond, Superintendent of the NH Historical Society, fpr the proposed bibliography of Com=ncord writers. Included are signatures and petters of politicians, statesmen, clergy, educators, artists, writers, poets, journalists, explorers, musicians, scholars, inventors, businessmen, diplomats, and military officers.
