Election Records - City of Nashua, NH
Collection Description:
This collection includes records for city and state elections dating from 1885 to the present. The records for each election are not consistent and some elections are entirely absent. Items found throughout the collection include sample ballots, return of votes, information packages for candidates and election workers, registration reports, correspondence, news clippings, redistricting information, legal opinions, campaign finance reports, and ephemera. Records specific to municipal and state elections are arranged chronologically, as are campaign and incumbent financial disclosure forms. The Absentee Ballot Reports series (1980 - present) is no longer public information under state law. The conservation of number of the materials in this collection was made possible through funds received from the sale of the NH Moose Conservation License Plate and administered by the NH State Library, a Division of the New Hampshire Department of Cultural Resources, including: Voter Checklists (1885 - 1893); Inspectors of Elections/Board of Registrars, 1890 - 1912 and 1914; Inspectors of Elections/Board of Registrars, Return of Votes, 1885 - 1927; Inspectors of Elections/Board of Registrars, Return of Votes, 1928 - 1937; and the Samuel Dearborn Poll Book, 1914.
